HUNDREDS OF SNOWDROPS in the garden together with blue sky and sunshine today. Still decidedly chilly but the sight of the snowdrops fills me with cheer. After a long winter I’m reminded that Spring is on the way.

But tonight’s news of operations in Libya is in another league of chill altogether. God help our humankind to help each other. After aeons of warring winter may we yearn for the Spring of world peace, and pray.
