OUR PARISH CHURCH looks breathtakingly forlorn after the Stripping of the Altar on Maundy Thursday. There’s a palpable emptiness about Good Friday, even for someone with minimalist leanings, like me! One of the joys of prep before the Paschal Ceremonies and Fire this evening is the restoration of everything to its proper place! It’s like the freshly spruced up start of term feeling after the long summer holidays, only a million times better. Resurrection! Heartfelt thanks to the angels who decorated (gloriously, as usual), and to angelic restorers, too.
