TOBY THE TORTOISE is one hundred years old and was brought to the parish Eucharist this morning because companion June Bradley wanted, properly in my view, to offer thanksgiving. I led the large gathering in thanksgiving to God for the gift of life in all its many forms – and a very wide awake and active Toby was roundly applauded! Parish life is full of richness and variety … and I’ve been heartened today by the number of people who’ve told me of their intending to come along for our second Guided Monthly Meditation tomorrow evening at 8pm.
